a bit of a downpour

Last night was quite an adventure in Fort Worth, as the heavens had their way with us last night. The storm that came through dumped 5+ inches of rain an hour on us for a while and I was without electricity for a few hours. Christina's apartment got lightly flooded, though thankfully nothing irreplaceable or terribly expensive got damaged. Since I was without electricity and therefore couldn't work I spent my time chilling with my hamster Bruce Lee and taking some photos. I also shot the short clip below out of my back door during the worst part of the storm.

It was rather monsoon-ish there for a while.

3:47 PM

i was at work at the pool during the storm. i had to help evacuate 400+ people to the basement of the rec center because of the tornado sirens. unfortunately, that also meant that i didn't get to see the storm ripping through. suck.
